The Best Sony Footage

As a video producer who works as a video editor, I see a lot of different types of footage. Some of it is easy to work with, and some is more difficult because it either slows down your computer or it needs more quality to deliver your vision of a professional product.
All editors prefer the type of footage they like to work with, and today I found mine.
Recently I had the chance to edit and color grade a project shot on the Sony Cine Fx3 Cinema Camera. Shooting on the camera’s internal XAVC S-I 4K footage option, I found the footage to strike an outstanding balance of flexibility and convenience.
I ended up color grading the footage to give it a pastel flimic look, as if shot with a retro 35mm camera. This goal was aided by the use of a plugin I’ve recommended before called Film Convert. It’s expensive, but the grain overlays have come in handy for me to use in project after project.
