This is Josh Diaz, Director of Photography at Forkright Films, and I have something very exciting to share with you!
Recently, the team at Forkright Films travelled to Maui, Hawaii, for a new project. During our time on the island, we shot some general footage of Maui with a drone, and we’re excited to share that footage with you! Follow the video above to YouTube, and you’ll find an extensive 10-plus-minute reel of unwatermarked Maui footage for your next video or multimedia project.
For those of you who have never been to the islands of Hawaii, what I can say is that they’re pretty locked down for drone usage. I assume years of consumer/tourist drone incidents, a small urban population and several airports/helipads have warranted the situation. As a result, you need to acquire explicit permission to use a drone in many areas across the island.
Obtaining footage of the island was no easy task, given the strict drone regulations in Hawaii. However, we were determined to navigate these legal hurdles so that you wouldn’t have to. We hope you appreciate the effort that went into making this exclusive footage available to you!
